Improving driver education across Florida

ADTSEA-FL was founded in August 2022 to enhance the quality of driver education in Florida. Its inception began with informal discussions and fact-finding missions to determine the feasibility of a state-level association affiliated with the American Driver & Traffic Safety Education Association (ADTSEA). Initial meetings focused on gathering input from public and commercial driver education stakeholders and identifying organizational goals. A key milestone was the decision to pilot the organization as a potential chapter of ADTSEA, ensuring alignment with its mission and infrastructure. By late 2022, formal plans for incorporation began, culminating in the approval of an ADTSEA/ADTSEA-FL dual membership model in November. This partnership with ADTSEA aimed to streamline membership processing and offer shared benefits to members of both organizations.
